I am originally from South Louisiana, but I have resided in East Texas and the Houston, TX gulf coast area for most of my adult life. I have been married to my best friend for the last 24 years. We have two beautiful children.

I am in my 5th year as a virtual teacher and online mentor/teacher trainer. I decided on this master’s program based on my experience and enjoyment in the online environment. Covid completely changed our world with online learning. I have had the honor of helping my friends in the brick-and-mortar classroom who had to go into online teaching without much preparation. Supporting their understanding of online learning, I realized that I could build on my experiences to help fulfill a need in that area. My goal is to further my knowledge of digital learning and its applications to train educators.

A few fun facts about me:
When it comes to hobbies, I have always been a grandma at heart. I love gardening and canning, crochet/cross-stitch, pottery, and cooking. I live in my kitchen, which is my happy place. I also love to vacation. Our family loves Disney World. If we are not there, you can find me at the beach! I find water to be peaceful and healing.

We have one dog named Chip. He is 5yrs old. He is so much fun, a mix of Jack Russell terrier and miniature schnauzer. He’s a little crazy but the heart of our family.
